Why Re-evaluation Matters in Board Exams

Every year, students across India await their board exam results with a mix of excitement and nerves. Whether it’s CBSE, ICSE, or State Board, these marks hold great importance—not just for college admissions, but also for a student’s confidence and self-belief. At Priya Teacher’s Academy, we recently witnessed a powerful example of how reevaluation can make a real difference.

Parth’s Story: A Lesson in Self-Belief

Parth V Nair, a dedicated student from Christ Nagar School (ICSE), received his board exam results and felt something wasn’t right. His Chemistry score—89—didn’t match the confidence he had in his performance.

Rather than staying silent, Parth made a bold but thoughtful move: he applied for reevaluation.

The result? His marks were revised to 97—an 8-mark increase that lifted his overall score to an impressive 96.6%. This wasn't just about the numbers. It was about recognizing effort, trusting one’s instincts, and standing up for what felt right.

We shared his story recently on our Instagram page, and it resonated with many students and parents alike.

What We’ve Learned Through This

Having guided board exam students for years, we’ve seen how stories like Parth’s remind us of a few key points:

1. Evaluation Errors Can Happen

Even the most organized boards sometimes make mistakes—missed answers, wrong totaling, or interpretation issues. Reevaluation gives students a fair chance to correct such issues.
